and save yourself uninstalling and reinstalling WP 17 times like I did. Apparently Marsware website is gone for good, along with the server connections that lets us update WP. But!! some kind person yesterday wrote a work around that works perfectly.
I wonder if they used the same as PocketWeather v.98 freeware. This old free version stopped working for me a while ago, and it has for others also. Must have used the same server.

Pay for what, I'm not sure what you mean. I already purchased WP and as far as I know even the trial versions will work after you use this workaround patch. But for the most part WP won't update with weather.com unless you install that .cab patch.
I've been using WP for a long time, and it stopped updating a few days ago!
The patch worked like a charm! ;) It just redirects the authorization server to a new host, which Storyr (a long time WP supporter) have provided for us!
That's what I figured, so I registered and I still can't see them. Is it because I registered after the site went down?
BTW, I've owned Weatherpanel for a long time, and even thought I was registered for the formums, but I couldn't log in so I had to re-register. I hate to post these questions there, because I feel silly that I'm having so much trouble following their directions. I always get the best directions here from you kind folks at Aximsite.
Woops, sorry folks, now I'm actually fully re-registered. I had to follow through with an email they sent to complete the authorization. I will try again.
You probably were registered at the official Marsware forum, unfortunately that forum died over a year ago, the developer went missing over two years ago. The site linked to is not associated with Marsware in any way, its just a group of people who love Weatherpanel and try to support the continuing users.
Thanks Ken, as now I understand that this is a different forum. Cool!
I clicked the download and followed the read me instructions and extracted the Weatherpanel.dll file into my ppc. I put it in the main program file which in my case is:
cf card/MarsWare WeatherPanel
and I still don't have something right because I still can't download new weather. Do you think the problem relates to where I have this stored? Or do you think I need to put the .dll file into one of the sub folders instead, which names are:
data
Icons
themes
instead of just keeping it in the main WeatherPanel folder?
