Using Memaid to solve hang problem X51V

I have a Dell X51V running A06, Memaid 1.73 and SPB backup . Often, my Axim freezes and the only way to get out of it is to soft reset.

I am now thinking that this hang is due to a missing notification queue item that I may have accidentally deleted which now freezes my PDA when a calendar item reminder is due.

I'd like to reset my notification queue items to a new system but don't want to lose all my installed applications. So, I am considering the following:

1) print the current state of the notification queue (Is there any way to capture the notification queue contents to a file using Memaid?)

2) Hard reset

3) Print the default state of the notfication queue after hard reset

4) Restore system state via SPB backup

5) Manually enter any notification queue entries missing after restore

Does this make sense and is it likely to work? Any other ideas or suggestions?

thanks for your help!

Dear Customer,
Yes, what you want to do should work (if the cause is in the notification queue).

And, if you tap-and-hold on the notification queue window, MemMaid will give you an option to export this list to a file.

This doesn't seem to work for me when I tap and hold in the notification queue window. Does this work with Memaid version 1.73 or only the new 2.0 version?

Problems fixed: Thanks MemAid!

It turns out that I didn't even need to go through the procedure above. I upgraded to Memaid 2.0 and found a "delete expired" feature in the notifications tab. This fixed the freeze-up problems on my Axim X51V. Not hard reset required.

My Axim is back to its snappy old self. Thanks Dinarsoft. Memaid is a great product!
