C/C++ Compiler

I am attempting to learn C and I have MS Visual Studio 2005 Pro installed on my notebook. I have a VGA WM6 PDA and am looking for a compiler/debugger for it. Any suggestions?

If you have VS2005 Pro you've already got what you need to develop to Windows Mobile devices - compiler and all.

You have already everything that you need, because standard VC2005 has WM2003 dev kit. For WM5 go here Download details: Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for Pocket PC
for Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for Pocket PC

as everyone said, you already have what you need. under new project, choose smart device project, and select your target.

look in the developer section of aximsite at the sticky i posted, with links to the necessary resources.

What I mean is a compiler that actually runs on the device itself so I can program wherever I go.

That's what I thought. See my response above for Orbworks PocketC which runs completely on PPC device:

Here is the direct download cab file (Select Pocket PC Arm cab file for X51V)

PocketC for Windows CE - Download

Here's one of the examples loaded on my X51V ... It's a very nice C development learning tool thst runs completely on PPC.

We'll, this has given me another excuse to flash my X51V with WM6.

I was curious, so loaded Orbworks PocketC with WM6 and it works identically as with WM5.

What WM6 device do you own?

It should work .

Good luck ...

ArianeSoft's PPL comes with a built in compiler on the PocketPC with a simple to learn syntax. You can even visually build forms and games right from your device.

Check it out : ArianeSoft - Development Tools for everyone: PPL

I've downloaded trial version from this link. Looking nice and working on my x51v. But on this web site it says that PocketC for CE is no longer supported. Does it mean that it's free now or have to buy unlocking key from them? They also didn't say how long is trial period.
Thanks.
