Help: Opera 8.65 downloads.

Well, i'm having this problem downloading files using Opera. Especially files i think above a few mbs. The download runs halfway and after that hangs my Axim and i have to soft reset it. =[
Help please =]. Thanks in advance

Are you using bluetooth dun when this happens by chance and is it a wm5 device? The reason I ask is I have the same problem on my x51v w/ wm5 but no problems on my x50v w/ wm2003. I posted a similar question a week back in the wm5 forum.

I have the same problem and what I did to fix it was up the cache size, and be a bit more patient. don't go to fast with asking the ax to do things. even on full / maximum processor this can still happen.

Hmm. I'm using WM5,and increasing the cache size can really help?

Whenever I download to my ax
° I force it to use full cpu speed
° and download to the memory - not the SD/CF card.

When the download has ended I immediately zip the file and move it to the SD card with TotalCommander.

Then I do the installation and finally set the cpu speed to auto again.

This procedure assures minimum delay when using the ax.

I recently discovered that if I download the file to main memory everything works fine. If I try to download it to the sd card then like you my ax hangs and requires a soft reset to recover. So my work-around is like zaniax mentioned, to save to main memory then move it to the sd card. Btw this only happens when I'm bt tethered to my phone. I can save directly to the card on a wifi connection.
