It takes 3rd party software to sync with Lotus Notes. I recommend Cadenza mNotes from
http://www.commontime.com
It does a very good job replicating mail and PIM to Pocket PCs. Handles repeating appointments well which most others do not.

EasySync will also do what you are looking for.

I would recommend using Cadenza, not EasySync. EasySync seems to have problems with repeating calendar appointments. Also, another product is Intellisync, but it seems to have some issues with repeating appointments also. The latest version of Notes, which is 6.x supposedly fixes the calendaring issues. Hope this helps.

Cadenza mNotes also allows you to sync mail folders besides the inbox. Attachments may also be stored on my SD memory card. It has been trouble free for me since install.

I use Easysync but be careful. I had my Axim calendar filter set for 2 weeks back and 13 forward. I sort of got routed into forcing a full synchronization and all of my Lotus notes calendar data for 2002 got wiped out. Very odd though--the only thing it didn't wipe was the repeating events. Be very careful about which way you have the data going when it asks you whether to use the Notes data or the Pocket PC data when there are conflicts. I'm finally learning the quirks of Easysync but it's real slow. I guess it has to convert from Notes format to whatever Activesync uses and then uses the Activesync conversions from there. This extra step is probably what slows it down.
If I had it to do over I would probably try something else.

I have Lotus Notes at work and MS Outlook at home. Can I sync with both? Will my Notes Calendar entries coexist with my Outlook Calendar entries? Can I sync only towards my Axim so that when I sync with Notes onto my Axim and then sync with Outlook it does not put all of my Notes Calendar entries onto my PCs Outlook Calendar?
This is a great site! I just received my Axim this week so I am learning a lot. Thanks. :)

Bill3-
I also have Notes at work and an Outlook calendar at home. My Notes calendar entries sync with the Outlook calendar very nicely. My contacts also co-exist between Notes at work and Outlook at home.
I use Cadenza to sync with Notes and Active sync for Outlook.
Hope that this helps.

Yes, that helps. This is my first PDA and I am in new territory here.
Guess I'll part with the 75 dollars and get Cadenza mNotes
(after the 30 day trial of course).
Thanks

I installed Cadenza mNotes today at work and sync-ed. I had about 150 contacts that I had sync-ed with my MS Outlook from home. I had mostly the same contacts in Lotus Notes at work. After I sync-ed at work I ended up with 1300 contacts. Not sure what happened. Does anyone know how to clear my contacts in the Axim all at once? Thanks

Help.
The office finally is permitting limited synchronization with Pocket PC in general. I would like to sync my calendar and contacts. However, the office decided to go with the "standard" of using "Lotus' EasySync" with our Lotus Notes 6.5.
Now, I am re-creating both my professional and personal calendars and contacts.
Did anyone finally find a way to may both ActiveSync and EasySync work together? And if so can you share the information?

I don't use EasySync (I use the commontime mNotes product) but it should be similar. At work you sync with EasySync. That brings any changes from your work PC to the Ax and vice versa. When you get home and connect to your PC there, Activsync will make updates to the PC from whatever is in the Ax, and vice versa. If you make changes and sync again, then when back in the office EasySync will update Lotus Notes with those changes. Every once in a while if you make changes on both PCs and then connect the Ax it will get confused and ask for a decision from you on which to accept. Also, I have noted that when syncing to my home PC (No Lotus Notes) that records with a lot of company addresses, particular teleconferences with hundreds of invitees, usually won't sync because the invitees are not in the contacts list and so Outlook is unhappy. I still don't have a good fix for this because I absolutely refuse to carry my entire company's address book (300,000 of us world-wide) in my Ax!

Lotus Notes & Axim X3
Would anybody have any suggestion on syncing my X3 to Lotus Notes? I hear a lot about the Cadenza program. Is this something that loads onto the X3 or does it load onto the hard drive on the computer? Any advise or help would be great as I am a virgin to the PDA world.
Thanks

www.commontime.com is the website for mNotes (used to be Cadenza). It loada onto the PC and PDA and allows for a replication of the mail database on Notes. TO use, you connect through activesync, then fire off mNotes. Pretty straightforward.
