I was running MemMaid 1.7 and it worked great...just upgraded to 2.0 and have a major issue...none of my calendar events are notifying me.
I go into MemMaid's display of the notification queue, and my upcoming events are listed under the section: Classic Time Based
Next to each event is not the folder icon I used to see, but the icon used for the Calendar Program. Next to the icon is "CALENDAR.EXE"
When I highlight an event, my gym time, for instance, the detail comes up:
When: Run at time
POOM: 1073742005 2007 11 6 16 0 2007 11 5 18 0
Gym
4:00 PM 11-05-07
The problem is that despite this entry, the alarm for my events never goes off. I do have a different set of notifications for what appears to be "future" events in December.
They are listed under a section called Time Based
They have the same depiction that I used to see in v1.7:
Folder icon, followed by \\.\Notifications\NamedEvents\SCRIPT:000082210 (for instance). This is what I was used to seeing in v1.7 and it worked great.
My question is, WTF? it appears that events in the near term are somehow being changed in the queue. How do I undo this? I'm already going to uninstall the v2.0 and try to install v1.7 and see how that works, but clearly other folks have no issues w/ this, so why am I?
I've tried to call DinarSoft and nobody answers the phone. I've sent an email to tech support and no answer...
I don't know if its my place to post in Dinarsoft's foum (because I'm not affilliated with them in any way), but I may have a solution to your problem.
Have you done any ROM upgrades near the same time that you installed Mem Maid 2.0? If so this may be the issue. Some of the ROMs out there, one in particular that I will decline to mention, allegedly cause alarms not to sound.
If you havn't messed with the ROM, I'll let the Dinarsoft folks try to help you.

All...I have installed the new Verizon AKU ROM, but MemMaid 1.7 worked with it...
I had v1.7 installed, installed v2.0 over it, and all worked fine. V2.0 came up went to all it's sub-apps with no issues. The only way I knew I had a problem was when I started not getting notifications.
I did run the procedures for the queue rebuild, but continued to have issues of no notifications.
Bottom line is that I now feel like the guy on the PC-Mac ads...I'm "upgrading to a previous version"...v1.7 works fine for me and that's where I'll stay. I guess progress isn't always good...
While we are trying to figure out the problem you have, we need you actually to feel as the guy who acting a Mac not the other way.
Now, to confirm what you said:
Fresh install MemMaid 1.7x, you get notifications.
Install 2.0, notifications stop. Correct?
Here are our questions:
- Did you notice any notification being removed in version 2.0
- Did you remove any notification manually?
- Can you export all the notification databases and send it to us, so we reproduce the problem?
- Did you notice any notification being removed in version 2.0 -->> yes...it seemed to be cleaning up duplicates, tho v2 did seem to find more than v1.7 (plus it had more options for incorrect entries over and above just dups)
- Did you remove any notification manually? --> not at first. after a couple days, i noticed the problem. then i started to remove notifications manually, rebuild the queue, and eventually ran the "procedure" listed above.
- Can you export all the notification databases and send it to us, so we reproduce the problem? --> uh, probably not...the 6700 is the only phone i have (no landline), i live and die by my pda, and i'm not too excited about the putting v2 back on to it, knowing it has issues...i know this doesn't help you guys out right now...i could have given you the info when i initially called, sent email, and posted the thread, but wasn't given the chance. and since, as i said, it's just "me and my 6700", i needed to fix our "relationship" as soon as possible....
