AOL on 51v

When I upgraded from a 50v to a 51v I noticed the the lower line of AOL was replaced by the softkey bar which means I can't acces important buttons. I tried to a force vga (tweaks 2k2) but that doesn't solve it. Anyone have ideas? I need to use AOL for an area in a country that only has dial-up. I found that version 1.0 doesn't cover the buttons but it also has some type of bug because it says the password it wrong. Also, you can't run 10 and 2.0 at the same time. hmmmm....

This is a hacked version of aim for wm5. It may be your only free option.

Thanks for the help. I wasn't able to successfully install it. I'm not sure why I can't 1.0 to work (login). Maybe it just can't be done.... typical for aol.

If you can wait a few months, AOL is coming out with a new Windows Mobile client called MyMobile. If all's you want is to read your AOL mail, just find a Wifi hotspot and go to AOL.com or alternatively, read your AOL mail from any client via IMAP.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately, I have to use aol to connect to a dial-up (no wi-fi where I'm going).

I think what you have to do is find another dial up service and use the connection manager to set up a connection then set up Outlook (Inbox or messanger on the PocketPC) to AOL IMAP then you can download your AOL email to the messanger inbox. I think AOL is slowly doing away with dial up service and expecting everyone to have some type of WiFi connection. They called me a few years ago and offered me a Version DSL deal for $10 a month if I did away with my AOL dial up connection and let me keep my AOL email service.
