PhatWare sent me an email about the new PhatNotes 5.1 upgrade. I followed the link to the site and found plenty of information, but I didn't see where to download the upgrade for existing users. Anyone see it?

When you go to this web page, open the scroll and it list 5.1
Download Software from PhatWare Corporation

How come I didn't get notification about the upgrade...hmm...would you please tell me where to find what's new in 5.1 compared to the 5.0 that I have installed..thanks :approve:

PhatNotes 5.1 released

The new version of PhatNotes 5 has been released. PhatNotes allows you to easily create, search, and sort text-based notes on your Windows-based Smartphone, Pocket PC and desktop PC; you can also synchronize notes between multiple platforms, giving you a powerful new way to manage and access personal information on-the-go. PhatNotes for Outlook Edition released

We are pleased to announce PhatNotes for Outlook Edition, the special version of the PhatNotes award-winning notes organizer. The new version allows the synchronization of multiple Outlook notes folders with the PhatNotes application on the mobile device.

PhatNotes 5, launched in September, no longer supports direct synchronization with Microsoft Outlook, and the company has received numerous requests from existing and new PhatNotes users to continue offering this feature. PhatNotes for Outlook edition has been created to answer these requests by allowing synchronization directly with Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later.

PhatNotes for Outlook includes the simplified version of PhatNotes for both Windows Mobile Standard (non-touch screen) and Professional/Classic (touch screen) devices. Because Microsoft Outlook does not support password protection and text formatting, these features were removed from PhatNotes for Outlook to provide more reliable synchronization. Further, the PhatNotes desktop software was replaced with Outlook notes synchronization software that supports ActiveSync 4.5 or later on Windows XP and Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 on Windows Vista.

PhatNotes for Outlook is offered at the low price of only $19.95. No special upgrade pricing is available for this product; however, users who have purchased PhatNotes 5 already and prefer to synchronize with Outlook can install this version using the PhatNotes 5 registration code.

Okay, thanks, friends. So as I understand it the upgrades go through the trial software download link.

That seems to be the case. You'll go to the Downloads page and select Phatware Notes 5.1 Trial/Upgrade.

The section entitled "Installation Instructions" on this page tells you how to go about installing the software. Be sure and backup your pocket pc before you install the application.

I have not upgraded my software yet...I'll probably get around to it later this week.

Oh, yes, good reminder. I just read the other thread about PhatNotes and the sd card issue.

I'd better dig out my code for the registration, too.
