Aximsitesoftwareicon What is a good program for keeping lists

Hey all, it's been so long since I've been on here. The site is looking great and seems to really be jumpin'!

My question is on list software. I want some software that will allow me to keep a christmas gift list of what I need to buy so I can track the item, cost and where to buy it. Then I can check off each item as it is purchased. I would also like it to be able to handle a simple christmas card list as well. I've checked out shopping list by Dreamee Soft but there are so many of these types of programs it's tough to tell whats good and whats crap.

Does anyone have any experience with these that can recommend a good one for my needs? I will also use it year round for grocery shopping, etc... I'd appreciate any help you all can give... Thanks in advance!!

I use SBSH's MyList and have used it for exactly what you are looking for.

It's worth a look as you can try it out to see if you like it. You also get excellent customer support from SBSH.

I highly recommend ListPro. It's the only reason that I continue to use my Axim since I've bought a laptop.

I Like list pro, have mylist as well, you might want to consider splashshopper, as well. Listpro and splashshopper both have a PC application included that makes editing lists much easier!

I use can also use your built in in Pocket Excel. Free and customizable (to an extent). I used to use checklist pro but something happened along the way that I did not like and I got rid of it. It was good when I used it.

I am now started to use Creative Notes (CreativeNotes for your Pocket PC. Blow your mind with this secure information organizer)

I agree with everyone here. Don't get a shopping list application - it will wind up limiting you from what you can do with it. Get one of the applications recommended by the other folks here and then you can create any kind of list you wish

I use listpro (and I have a shopping list program that I hardly use anymore - I bought it quite a long time before I got listpro) Listpro is one of the most frequently used applications on my pocket pc.

For what you want right now, just use Excel or one of the free checklist / outliner programs (e.g. ADB IdeaLibrary).

However ListPro is a good choice to grow with. Especially if you need to do any basic GTD'ing on your PDA.
