hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew a software that could hold 2 independent databases of contacts. ( sync with outlook and with other software )

i don't use it, but i think a few people use Act! for contacts - there's a pocketpc bit that syncs those.

I don't know if you could maintain two independent databases on same machine - you can sync with two different databases on PC but it would go into same database in POL.

You can set up separate categories (DB1, DB2) and only sync DB1 to Outlook and DB2 to the other software. This I believe can be set up in ActiveSync. Not sure though how reliable this setup would be.

You can set up database in Excel or Listpro, the latter has a decent Contacts template. This way you could keep them separate.
