Security Software

Hello all,

My organization will be purchasing the Axim X5s for field personnel to conduct inspections and report back with the results. A proprietary software will be installed on the Ax for this purpose. Pocket PCs are relatively new here and we are excited about their potential uses.

I want to restrict access to most of the core os functions depending on who is using the device, ie. clock, add/remove programs, etc.

Can anyone recommend a utility that will restrict access for some users but allow access for administrators?

Take a wander to http://www.pocketpcthoughts and do a search on Kiosk Software. There was something there that MIGHT be helpful.

Thanks BH

This is just what I'm looking for , but $1,000! ouch. Maybe some well placed registry hacks can accomplish the same thing.

That's for an enterprise licence right? Not for a per-PPC type price. So depends how many PPCs you need to secure I guess :)
