Thanks for the suggestion but I couldn't get on with the previous version I tried so I don't think I'll bother.

laurie53---SBSH is very responsive, so if you have any inclination to try the program, their customer service will walk you through anything. The program is well worth it.

Presumably one is only allowed to try one version. Thanks for responses.

Guess I'll have to do without PocketBreeze!
Hi Laurie53 :)

I'm sorry for missing this post until now, I'm having some hard time keeping with all different forums and discussions about our applications

Indeed it you had a previous version of PocketBreeze running on your device when installing the new version the trial version will expire for you right away :/ We sometimes update the "first-trial" counter with our applications to allow users to try our applications once again, but unfortunately this wasn't done with the latest PocketBreeze 5.4 release (although it was of course done with the new PocketWeather since this is a new major version update unlike the new PocketBreeze which was a bit smaller scaled update).

Nevertheless, we will definitely be glad to help with this and provide you with the opportunity to give the new PocketBreeze version another test. If you are interested, please send a short email to support@sbsh.net and mention that you installed the new version but the trial expired right away for you :) They are familiar with such situations and you will get an immediate help from our support team with instructions how you can still trial the new PocketBreeze version without too much effort :)

I hope that this helps. Have a Happy New Year all! :approve:

Unfortunately due to all of the activity on our forums this week that followed the new releases we had several times that our forums server was overloaded and crashed. This happened once during the night and therefore went all though the morning until we noticed this and restarted the server In the two other cases we got the forums server running back again within a few minute, so this wasn't such a big problem in that case :)

Following our experience in the past, we are now using different servers for our forums, main site, downloads server and the German SBSH community. This way even if the forums server goes down all of our other services continue to operate without any problem :) The forums server is usually the one to cause the most trouble due to the nature of the activity on such server and therefore it was important to have it separated to a different server from our other services. This is the reason why you were able to enter our main web-site without much trouble although our forums server was down at the time.

Thanks for the responses and support.

Maybe I'll give it another try later.

The reason I didn't persevere with the previous version was the lack of an up to date manual, and not having the time to try and find out what the program does, and how to do it.

Hi Laurie53 :)

I'm really sorry to hear that :/ We actually do have a user manual available for download which is updated to the previous version (5.3) on our site. We still didn't update it with the new changes of version 5.4, but most of the changes that effect the Options interface are only related to the new Weather integration, so the user manual content should still be completely up to date.

Maybe we should consider changing the download page of the user manual to a place which will be more visible so users won't miss it. If you are still looking for the PocketBreeze user manual this is available for download on our web-site at the following URL:

Cheers and Happy New Year! :)
