I am using PI 8 build 1109. No problem whatsoever. Very fast and good. I am using it on WM6 OS.

Well I've had it with PI2008. I downloaded the latest version a day or two ago and this morning I've got similar problems to what I experienced from the initial version of 2008. I won't be going back to PI2007 either because I can get by with Pocket Breeze and the Wm5 Outlook for my needs. If I do decide to put a calendar back on my hx2795 I already own Agenda Fusion's latest version which I bought because of a dispute I had with Webis support over another product of theirs and I swore I wouldn't use their products again. I should have followed my earlier logic and not wasted another $17 on PI2008 with the assumption that all previous PI's have been virtually perfect so why should this one be a problem.

I still would love to hear why a public beta wasn't done. All I see on their forum are complaints and responses from Webis to use their bug tool to report problems (that's what you do during a beta not after!!!).

I can only guess that they didn't want to spill out new features before selling the software, although quite honestly the new features are rather modest (not counting the phone-oriented ones). I also own a copy of AF but it's not any faster so I stick with 2007. I also had bad experience with other titles from WebIS and probably wouldn't buy any new titles with them without using up the trial period first & making sure I can live with this software the way it is.

It's a shame, on one hand Alex is a decent guy and I am sure he's really trying hard to provide good customer service, on the other hand he's very business oriented and if he deems that fixing your particular problem is not cost-effective he'll abandon you.

I believe that Alex has responded to this several times now on the WebIS forum. I found some problems with the initial release, and some problems with the last two interim releases (1108 and 1109). However, the interim version 1104 works great for me!

Those interim releases are not considered to be released versions. I can understand consternation if you had problems with the released version; however, the interim builds are clearly labeled as Public Beta versions.

have they added an option to go back to the original PI 7 date/time picker? I tried 1104 but couldn't find it. I've since reloaded PI7...

I've calmed down since this morning. I thought the PI2008 screw-up on my device caused a second problem and I deleted another program that involved my password without first remembering to change the password back to "nothing" and then delete the program. Once I deleted this password program Activesync wouldn't allow a sync and it didn't recognize the password I had been using. I did a clean reset and Sprite backup and things are back to normal. But the problem still started with PI2008 and that was why I was PO'd.

I really do want PI2008 to work on my device because I liked what I saw plus I paid for it. The Webis forum has too many confusing builds that could be or could have been downloaded over the past week. I'm just going to sit back and wait to see if they fix it, then maybe I'll go back.

FTF Build 1110 was just posted and is looking good so far! I had been staying on Build 1104 due to the issues I had with the initial release Build and with FTF Builds 1108 and 1109 and those issues now appear to have been corrected and I have not yet encountered any new ones.

I'm going to leave Build 1110 installed for now, replacing the Build 1104 I had been using.

Alex is hoping this might be getting close to a release candidate. You could try out Build 1110 and see for yourself, or wait for the actual release.
