TapText Enhancement Request

I have downloaded TapText and am taking it out for a trial spin. All in all, I am finding it to be fairly useful. I had hoped that it might have included a feature from an old Palm application I used to use, but it appears not. The Palm application was ClipPro. It enabled multiple dynamic cut/paste "slots". I realize that can be done on the PPC by opening up a note and saving the cut text there until needed again, but it really seems like a natural extension to TapText. Just a suggestion ;).

I got TapText when it was on sale a month or so ago and like it, but also would like what you suggested. It does sound like a natural extension of TapText.

I have used a program for years called Yankee Clipper on my PC which is a clipboard manager that does exactly what you mentioned. I can copy dozens of separate text fields and then just open that program and insert all of that info separately into wherever I want. Something like this would be great for the PPC.

Desktop companion for Taptext PPC was mentioned in this forum in the distant past. Has this been abandoned.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what the problem is ?

You don't need a note save/load.
Just use the export/import feature.

Also, I have made a 'Temp' link which I actually use as a small notebook or maybe just like a clipboard.

What I really would like would be a menu driven cut/past function in addition to ctrl-c / ctrl-v

.

Take a look at ClipPro. That is what I would like; multiple dynamic clip boards.

Ooooo, that sounds like exactly what I was wanting. It sounds very similar to Yankee Clipper for the PC. I will install and try it tonight.

Thanks for the link, stevenator65!!

Did a download/install and it works - but only one line per clip

MultiClipboard looks like another decent alternative for $5. I haven't tried it yet either.

Uh-huh. But if I wanted yet another application I would just use Notepad. Right? Simplify.

I saw TapText as being analogous to the shortcuts long available on the Palm platform (those user-specified text & macros that could be invoked via a grafitti stroke like a lower-case cursive letter L). It seemed like a natural extension to add the multi-clipboard to TapText. I posted it here because Aximsite is listed as the official support channel for DinarSoft products.

Yup, I just tried it, and if it wasn't for that, it would be exactly what I was needing. All it needs is a scroll bar at the bottom so one can see the entire clip or even better yet, incorporate word wrap.

I agree totally. Since I have TapText running all the time, it would make much more sense if it had a clipboard manager built in. I don't like installing a lot of separate apps, when one can/should be able to handle my needs.
