My Treo 700WX has recently lost the ability to act as an alarm clock. All the alarm apps (I tried about 5), including the WM native alarm, do NOT go off at the set times. I ran MemMaid notification cleaner, and it found some duplicates...not a problem.

But....I noticed that there are many that visually seem like duplicates to me....clocknot.exe (only 2), and CALENDAR.EXE (many). My question is this...what if I went and deleted them? are there reasons for the notifications having exactly the same names? Plus...I am assuming if I do a backup, if I ruin anything that the notifications are part of the backup and will come back with running the backup file...am I correct in that?

Before you delete anything look at the contents of your notifications. You will occasionally find one that is old (should already have triggered. Delete those. You might also find some that are clearly wrong. I had one once that had some gibberish and a date of 2017 or something like that.

The OS notifications tend to be mostly under the "Events" heading, so unless one of them meets the criteria above, I would leave it alone.

Thanks, that should help me clear up a few at least!! I did notice one that was set to start at a time change, I have a feeling that is one I shouldn't messs with LOL!!!!
