Seeking: City Guides or Maps

Does anyone know of any city guides or map software that is somewhat affordable or free? I am interested primarily in European inner cities where individual buildings and public transport stations show up on the maps.

Cities I will possibly be visiting (all in Germany):

Munich
Aschaffenburg
Frankfurt
Wuerzburg
Rothenburg ob der Tauber

I looked around for a while but everything I found looked like it was made for preWM2002 pocket pc's with crappy QVGA screens

.....or it cost an arm and a leg.

$20 is pushing it.

I would just use google maps or something, but I don't know how WIFI access will be over there.

:exc:I leave tomorrow at noon MST so I would preffer to have something before then.

If you are wanting to use GPS you could try using Tracky, it's a bit more than your budget but it does allow you to add all sorts of maps free, so you can use it when you don't have an internet connection.
There is a trial version.
The full version costs 30 euros.

I want to do GPS in the future, and maps of Europe will definitly be one of the factors that helps me choose the software, but at this point in time, I am just looking for a quick fix, especially since I lack a gps reciever right now. I will look into trackey though.

On Edit: Ooops, this is the link that you need for maps, not the one in my original post and you'll need a copy of PSConvert to use the latest maps.
