MemMaid 2.2 - Notifications

Hi guys

I am a serial snoozer on my alarm(s) in the morning, so my notifications randomly go off days afterwards at the snooze times aswell as the correct alarm times.

I was told MemMaid would help clear them (if I put it on a clean overnight) but this doesn't seem to work - they still go off randomly.

Today, I turned off all alarms and ran a clean... all the notifications stayed in the queue!

Where am I going wrong?

Kind regards

MemMaid does not clear all notifications, only those which are invalid. Most, if not all, of your notifications should be fine (and in fact are needed). Future notifications are usually (but of course not always) valid. Here are a couple of things to try:
  1. Start MM and go to Jump to|Databases|Notifications
  2. Look at your timebased notifications and see if you can see the one that is set for the future that you do not want.
  3. Highlight that notification and then tap on delete
A second option is to go to the queue and delete everything (i would backup first just in case). The tap the little triangle next to the add button and rebuild your queue. This should put back all the needed notifications by the OS.

I am manually deleting notifications at the moment, which is frustrating!

So to recap, if I have 1 alarm (repeated every weekday) which I snooze 5 times on Monday, my PPC needs all 6 alarms to repeat every day that week?

Also, if I clear all my alarms because I no longer want to be woken up, I should still expect all 6 alarms to go off because my PDA doesn't believe in having a lie in?

Am I missing something here, or has the world gone mad?

Maybe there is something fundamentally wrong with the notifications that MemMaid can't fix - I was just overly optimistic/naive to hope it would.

Other than my notification issue, great piece of software which I couldn't do without!

The alarms in WM have always been, IMHO, a bit buggy. Each alarm sets a future notification, which MM will see as being accurate. If you cancel an alarm altogether WM should really clear it's alarms from the queue, but usuallty does not. You might try looking at AlarmToday
