I went through the steps outlined to remove the verion of MS Money that came with the Dell CD. began uninstallation on my AXIM, at the dialog box where it said "To complete uninstallation, let the desktop portion of uninstall run to completion. Then chose OK to this dialog box and undock your Axim. The removal will finish."

...it never finished. Now I have MS Money unistalled from my laptop and the darn thing is still on my Axim.

Any ideas?

Why are you uninstalling from your Axim? Was there any problems?

Are you sure it's on the Ax? Uninstall usually leaves the icon behind. So if you see the icon, that doesn't mean the program is there. Try it. If it's just an orphan icon, use file explorer / windows / start menu (or a directory under this) and delete the icon.

The program worked fine. I just don't need it and until I buy some extra storage, I need the space. The program is still showing up in the apps listing under both file explorer and remove programs.

Any ideas on how for force the uninstall at this point?

I am having the exact same problem!! I can't get the damn thing off my axim. I went through the exact same steps you did. Somebody please help us!!!

I ran into the same problem, I backed up my Axim and did a hard reset to remove Money.

Do this.

Hit - Start,Settings,System,Remove Programs (an icon)
It will show you all the programs stored in your Axim
Choose the application, then hit remove.

--This doesn't work. I think its a Dirty MSFT trick. I took mine off too, did all the things it said too. still I had no success. You can go and delete the files your self but, it still shows up on the remove list for some reason!!

What I forgot is do a soft reset... if it still doesn't work, try removing the MS Money PPC in your main computer found under the folder MS Money!

Do the hard resets as a last option!

As for me, I was able to successfully remove Money in my Axim by following the 4 steps I outlined without even a soft reset!!

I figured it out!!!

I finally got MS money off the Remove list!

I went through file explorer looked for all the Pocket Money icons and deleted them. There are also a bunch of icons and pictures for Money.
To remove them open file manager

under the windows click on the "Sort by" (or it might say "Name" if you havent used it before)----- and then sort by type.

Delete all the money files picture files. They all begin with something like m2k or something like that. you can open them up to find out.

Finally download Kilmist Registry Editor, you can get it here -->HERE!!!!!!!

and do a registry search for "money" Make sure you uncheck the "case sensitive" box.

Also I think it just finds the first occurance so do a new search but make sure you select the Pocket PC or root folder, so it looks through all of the registry.

Thats it.... mine is finally gone!!! yeah...
