eWallet Not Syncing

I recently upgraded the ROM of my device. The problem is that I cannot get ewallet to sync. Because of this I had to re-install ewallet. I had my .wlt file saved on my SD card. Now that I have re-installed ewallet it will not sync with my PC. I get the following errors:

1. "eWallet is sychronizing my walletbut cannot locat a copy of the wallet at \application data\ilium software\ewallet\sychronized wallets\my wallet.wlt on my device. Would you like to creat it? If you pick no than ewallet will no longer attempt to sync this location".

I doesn't try to creat my wallet in that location. Even when I copy my wallet to that location does not resolve the issue.

2. When it tries to sync my wallet disappears & this message appears. "There is no wallet currently open. You can open one from the file menu".

I can't say for sure if ewallet was syncing with my PC before this or not. Has anyone else had this issue?

First off: Make a copy of your wallet.

Then, on the PC desktop eWallet, go to Synchronize/Setup and configure it.

I did that that. I opened ewallet on my laptop & opened my wallet from my desktop. Setup the synchronization but I still get the error. I spent a couple of hours over the weekend screwing with it.

Hi,

#2 is probably not a problem if you see "no wallet currently open" and then your wallet re-opens after the sync attempt. eWallet has to close your wallet during synchronization so you don't try to change it.

#1 is a known problem, and we have a writeup on our support site here:

"This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object" when running syncing under Windows XP .: Technical Support

Here are the steps:

1) Close eWallet on the PC
2) Open \My Computer or Explorer on your desktop PC
3) Navigate to the \Program Files\Ilium Software\eWallet folder
4) Rename the eWallet.exe to eWallet_old.exe
5) Download the following file: http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/download/misc/eWallet.exe
6) Save the file to the \Program Files\Ilium Software\eWallet folder on the PC
7) Open eWallet on the desktop PC
8) Check Help and About eWallet to verify version 6.1.1.24408
9) Check your synchronization setup (Synchronize -> Setup)
10) Synchronize your eWallet

This issue will be fixed in the next update to eWallet.

If it doesn't work, let us know!

I would probably uninstall eWallet completely from both the PC and the PDA, reboot the PC, soft reset the PDA, then reinstall eWallet onto the PC and PDA.

Presuming that works, and sync functions, I would then reload my saved data.

Question eWallet not syncing with ipone

I have setup an ad hoc network on my Win XP SP3 notebook and it has connected OK. I do not have the Win Firewall running and have McAfee 12.1.110 running but have the Firewall switched off. Bonjour is installed and running but despite following the exact sync instructions with eWallet open on the PC and the iphone and then starting the sync setup on the PC when I try and Add an iphone connection I just get No Apple Devices Detected.
However I can connect and transfer files via the ad hoc network to/from iphone and the MobileFinder app using the same network setup. Anyone got any suggestions :(
