Just a comment here:
First of all, the early HP printers are not compatible with Pocket PC IR transfers. I have a photosmart P1000, and it has the irDA port, which is specifically designed for "JetSend" transfers. This is a completely different language then the types of files we are trying to send via our PPC's IR-Serial port. Unfortunately, many of HP's printers that support "JetSend" are not compatible with the PPC. The newer models are no longer labeled as "JetSend" but are now compatible with both. I believe the P1000/P1100 were the last photosmart printers NOT compatible with the PocketPC. Hence, the software will recognize the printer, and install it, but when you attempt to send a file, the printer is not recognized. I am considering forming a group of people to petition for a firmware upgrade for the early model photosmart printers. If anyone is interested, or has an earlier HP model printer with JetSend that won't work with thier PPC, email me at

If I get enough support, maybe we'll put a website up, have a nice message board and such. I hope this helps some of you...I know I was frustrated for quite a while.
