Worried reinstalling activesync on axim without activesync?!

hi,

i made the a03 update on my girlfriend's axim. but something went wrong. (I DID NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!)
it froze on the ... 1/12 ... screen, showing 3/12 ...
after 2 hours i gave it a hardreset and luckily it booted.
but for some kind of reason there are no app. available anymore. ex. the dell controll center.

explorer gone....
active sync gone....

i'm kinda n00b when it comes to the deeper understanding on how that pda was installed in the first place.
so can anyone please tell me how i get activesync (re)installed without activesync?!:crooked:

any help appreciated

your dm8

ActiveSync is installed to your computer through the installation disk or from Microsoft's website. You do not install it on the Axim. A hard reset on the Axim should put the original ROM back on if the update was incomplete. Try a hard reset again. If it still does not work, perhaps the ROM was corrupted. If you can, try to install A03 again.

When you do a hard reset, you wipe out everything you have installed on the Ax (not the cards)
