I was just about to ask around about this s/w. I used tdLaunch, it was slllooooowwww, and it slowed down my axim altoghether, at first I thought it was some sort of incompatibility with icbar, but even without icbar, minimized windows would take forever to return to today screen..

I will try this one today. Hopefully this is what I was looking for. I also wanted to try the other one, i forgot the name, the one that gives you a desktop, but never had a chance. And also there was no demo I believe for that one, and required flash to be installed..

* UPDATE:

I downloaded and installed 7.03 After deleting or removing icons from the tab, they come back..:rolling: Davey, are you sure you deleted them, or after changing tabs or just going to cLaunch preferences via yellow icon brought them back ? :crooked:

i have been looking at this program (cLaunch) and just can't seem to get past icons all over the today screen. since i like the clean look i use handylauncher which has one icon on the bottom bar, tap it and a list of programs comes up. it is easily customizible. just my 2 cents.

I downloaded claunch 8.0 yesterday and it works fine. It does delete the icons. I keep my screen clear by leaving the main folder empty and filling the tool, music, ebooks, etc. instead.

Really? I have been using tdLaunch for months and have been happy with it. I have not noticed any slowing. I scrapped icbar long ago because it ate battery like an Ida-ho.

I want to try this but don't want slowness!

Are you on WM2003?

Also, has anyone noticed whether cLaunch eats batteries faster?

I thought I read somewhere to put it in my default, so I didn't put it on my CF card. Yes, it does slow down my axim but not enough to be that annoying.

icbar eating up battery? How? That's a first..

Also, yes I am on WM03, and both tdlaunch and claunch slowed down my axim x5 400. Any Today plug in will slow down my ax, only one seems to be working well is the batmemtime. Do you think it is because of it?

I found some today plug-ins do a refresh at certain intervals. tAgenda, I believe, is one. Every 15 minutes or so, it would blank out and refresh on the today screen. I think this type thing is what causes unneeded battery usage. I'm not sure on icbar itself but I tried it on two occasions and both times, noticed higher battery drainage.

On that topic, I suspect WM2003 uses much more battery than PPC2002 did. Anyone else see this?

I have posted in the past how impressed I was that I never fell below 80% battery power with PPC2002, even using my WCF12 card.

With WM2003, it dropped to 56% last night in the 40 minutes I was playing around with cLaunch. Nothing else was running and no WCF12 card.

What gives?

That's strange, but Axim overall has kind of weird power consumption issues.. It also might be because I keep it at 400Mhz all the time.

Thanks.
