Pocket Backup Plus restore causes soft reset

I'm using WM2003 and recently downloaded the "update" to Pocket Backup Plus, version 2.1.2. Whenever I tried to do a restore (regardless of which file I was restoring from, or whether I was restoring from the Axim or from my desktop) PB+ would start the restore then, after a few seconds, do a soft reset.

Sprite support suggested downloading the "newer" update, version 2.1.3. This didn't improve the situation until I removed version 2.1.2 from my Axim, did a soft reset, then installed version 2.1.3. Everything works fine now.

Moral: don't assume that upgrading over an old version is going to work. Use "Remove Programs", do a soft reset, then install the update.

yes, that can be applied to software on all platforms. if it's at all possible, uninstall the old before installing the new.

Nor did I. Seems like it would require little effort on their part to e-mail it's users when a new version is available.
