Question Ax=external assisting CPU>?

Is their a way that the ax on its dock conencted w/active sync that can assist a computer in its processing jobs?

I'm sure there would be. Just a case of writing the software to control it. The Axim is not an incredibly powerful processor though, not sure where the value would be. You could just write some simple software where the PC would package up some data, send it to the Axim which would perform calcualtions on the data and return it when done.

I imagine the 'task' of preparing something
for the PDA to process and sending it back and forth
will take longer then then just the PC doing it itself..

well, it could work, but you would need applications specifically designed to do this, plus you would need an application designed to connect the CPU to the PC, plus you would neeed something better than USB for communications, not to mention you may even need to create a new operating system for the axim

bottom line - yes, with a hell of a lot of work, its possible, is it even the slightest bit practical - NO!

--I guess its possible to do this in a smaller scale like howard said, but even that is not exactly easy to do, especially if you dont know programming very well, but if you want to literally use the axim as a "second" cpu, it will be so unbelievably time consuming and difficult to do this.
