I like it a lot, I made a few minor changes that suite my needs. I was told a updated version will be out in a short while.

Gigi,

honestly, it's not that difficult if you are a bit of a programmer. Get the user guide with all the commands on the forum. Go through it, and you'll see it's pretty straight forward. I'll admit though, at first, without a guide, it can be pretty tough to master all the parms in each command, but the guide is very helpful in that sense

Well, you see, THAT is the problem..I am not even the slightest bit of a programmer ;) But I have read and fiddled around enough to at least get the idea of it. And I'm also wondering where user's guide is?

The part I had most trouble with was the region part. Thoguh I understand what the region concept was, I couldn't figure all the x,y,z parms.. but nonetheless, i was able to do adapt my first Today Plus screen to only have a weather display with nothing else. With the new release of 0.9.8, I'm using the Calendar skin posted on the forums, and am in the process of modifying it.

Give ADBWeather 2002 a try. It's nice and gives you the actual NWS report, full text.

TodayPlus is now at version 0.10.0 with many improvements. At least 3 of the popular skins have been updated to be compatible with this new version.

today plus is a lot trickier to get going than jornal bar , but on the other hand journal bar only seems to support certain countries where as todayplus is workable almost anywhere..

dr_bob : I'll agree with you but again if you use some of the skins already available, you can get yourself a pretty decent Today screen with only one or two modifications to the config file.

What makes TodayPlus a lot trickier is that it is a beta version, and in that, there's a lot of new versions coming out and they are often not compatible. So whatever work you had done for version 0.9.8 might (and in this case will) not work on 0.10.0

I dont mind changing the config file (I needed to change the weather/rss feeds and timezone to suit Ireland), but the point I was making is that some users mightnt like manualy editing files, (personally I love it but thats just me ;) )

to be fair to it ,I had a look at the omeag one home page and Jornal bar supports a lot more countries since I last checked ...

There's a difference between simply setting some options in the options dialog, and actually digging through and editing config files though! :)

I thought at first editing the config files in Today Plus a little daunting, but there is enougth help on the Today Plus forum it became easy. I have added my own programs for the launcher and changed time zones to suit. Plus I now get the news (RSS Feeds) and other channels of my choice. Give it a try it cost nothing but time.
