Weather On Today Screen

I am using an Axim X3i, along with WisBar Advanced. I would like a application which would give me a five day weather forcast on the Today screen. Is there such a thing?

Journal Bar is awesome! Not only do you get the 5 day forecast, but you get news and stocks and other stuff, too. It is a very handy app to have :)

I had Journal Bar for awhile, it was cool. I gotta say that TodayPlus definitely gives it a run for its money. In fact, it's probably better since it's totally configurable to get it's news/weather/etc. sources from anywhere you want it to. Not to mention the price... :)

TodayPlus is not newbie-friendly though. To configure it, you'll have to work with it's configuration files manually, and sift through the documentation to figure out what you're doing.

Sorry for the delay in the response. Yes TodayPlus can work with Wisbar though I haven't done it myself, the website/forum where you can find TodayPlus does have people on there that have done it.

Though I agree with Talyn on the fact that it is not newbie-friendly, you can stick to a skin with only a couple of parms to change in the config file and you're ready to go. But sure, if you want to do a little more skinning, you'll definitely have to get into the code.

Oh, yeah TodayPlus works fine with WisBar Advance anyway. I keep WA loaded at all times, and TodayPlus runs right with it. TodayPlus is almost a total replacement for your Today items though until you do a bit of modification.

I think what I may wind up doing is writing my own skin for it that just does Weather and nothing else; should speed things back up a bit.

Yeah I had done that with a prior version of TodayPlus, and that's all it was doing.. weather for my region.. Now I've took a skin that someone else had done along with the newest release.. I may fiddle with it a bit more as I find it doesn't have all the functionnality I want it to have (basically there is no Calendar button to bring you in the Calendar app from the Calendar screen) but it's currently replacing all my Today items.

Yes I do: Today Plus After install you will modify the config file to your city. Very easy I can help.

Ok..I've installed it and but am having difficulties configuring the weather. I have gone into the config file to change the code for my city (I live in Toronto, Canada) but after a soft reset, resyncing, etc. the forecast is still the same as before. Any suggestions? Thx.

Ok that seems to be a bug in the program or activesync. Here is what you do!
1. Go to Start--file explorer--then program files--then today plus--then buffer. Then click on tools at bottom and select all---then hold the stylus on the screen until the tools comes up and delete all the files. Then put the Axim back in cradle and start syncing. Then durying the sync use the today screen refresh button. That should do it.

Ok, I did as you have instructed but now all the weather icons (the large ones showing temp, etc.) are gone. Everything else is there (e.g., batt indicator, etc.).
