Is anyone else using there PPC To control their media gadgets? Care to share a screen shot? I have mine set up so that I can control most functions on every piece of media gadget in the house from one screen. Pretty crowded screen even on a 4700.
I am just curious to see what others have done.
I will post a screen shot of mine as soon as I figure out how

i have nevo remote, but i dont use it. between hard resets and using different devices all the time, i havnt put any time into the configuration and customization of such software.

it works great, however. just takes some time to set up and configure.

i dont mind grabbing the right remote off the table anyway :)

I understand what you mean, I have Novii remote... but this is the trick. In one room I have a DVD player, a hard disk cable box and the TV. In another room I have the media center PC a surrond sound receiver and sometimes my XM radio.
In another room I have a TV/VCR, DVD changer stero and a hard disk cable box.

I can on/off all of these things from one screen on my PDA. I can change the volume on all of them and I can up/down channels, do the guide/info, last channel, enter/exit... all from one screen. On another screen I have the number pad, enter/exit, page up/down and some other stuff. On another screen I have hot buttons to each of my favorite 25 or channels. On another I have the transport controls for the DVD player. On another the transport controls for the Hard disk cable box.

The thought was. I can walk through my crib and control everything. No looking for remotes. My wife tends to loose them lay on them, toss them under things and other wise make them un available and she tends to come and take over the big tv when her show comes on.

With my all in one, if she comes in and says, MOVE!, I am generally surfing on the PDA anyway, I simply change screens and go somewhere else and continue watching what ever.

I prefer WinCESoft's RemoteControl II

The user interface (bitmaps, buttons, backround images) is free configurable:






Each button can be assigned to a function like these:
-Send IR Code (of course :) )
-Call Macro
-Jump to Panel
-Toggle Fullscreen
-Show Time
-Show Battery Gauge
-Show Memory Gauge
-Call External Program
-Show Panel List
-Hide RC II
-Close RC II

RC II was recently updated to v2.12

Free Nevo Remote V2.0 for PPC2002 to 2003 Download

Has anybody tried this, and if so does it work? i used to have nevo, but now have a different pda.

Nevo supports only some (2-3) iPAQ- devices from HP with a special CIR- hardware.
