Question Any problems with Resco File Explorer?

I am new to the site, so please forgive my ignorance if this has been discussed before, but I didn't find anything on this topic.

I recently purchased the Resco Utility Package that includes the File Explorer, Picture Viewer, and something else that doesn't seem to work (Task Manager).

Anyway, I have had nothing but problems since I installed this. Such as, unable to write to my SD cards (128 & 256). Whenever I take them out, they need to be formatted again once entering. I am also not able to write more than 20 MB to either card. This is the case with one and/or many files total 20 MB.

And another problem I had over the weekend was active sync not working. It would connect and disconnect without syncronizing anything. Even after a hard reset, it still did not work. Using Active Sync 3.7.1 (this ended up being traced back to some encryption code from Resco File Explorer on my XP machine.)

So, I don't know if all this is a coincidence or what. Just wondering if someone could shed some light on this good or bad.

Resco offers encryption, could yours be on? Maybe it's screwing up the SD cards? The SD cards aren't Sandisk are they?

My Resco explorer works great. YOu have the latest version?

Which OS? 2002, 2003

lbffl,
The synchronization error is a problem with Resco Pic Viewer. I followed the advice on this thread(http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...r&pagenumber=2) and my synchronization issue has been resolved. I dumped Resco, did a hard reset, and I have been able to synch for the last week for the first time in about a month. I have found another pic viewer (DAVA www.dicesoft.com) and have still been able to view my pics without any issues....Thanks to "Ephex Double"'s post, I have been able to synch and can finally enjoy my ax...:D

Jwilker - The cards are Sandisk; is that a problem?

tgah - I have the Pic Viewer. Is this still a problem. I have the latest Resco stuff for 10/23/03. I would have thought that they fixed it by now. That thread was old.

Anyway, I deleted the *.dat file and I sync.

serach here for sandisk, and you'll find posts that explain the problems with them.
I returned one twice, and finally just got my money back. I have Viking and Lexar.
No problems with Viking, I did return m y Lexar SD card (which was from China) - it wanted to be formatted again; and I got a replacement that has been working just fine (from Japan).
