Hi! I have just ordered my Axim X5 from Dell and wondered if any Aximsite members could suggest a good music application.

Until recently I ran a Psion 5 and used the 'Piano' app, which offered a metronome, pitch producer and on-screen 'playable' keyboard amongst other things.

Does anybody know of a similar application for the Axim?

Many thanks,
James

What you played with was probably Pocket Piano Pro.

Its a nifty program, especially when you want to train for perfect-pitch :)

Another program that I highly recommend is Frequency Tuner.

If you're looking for a list of music apps, check this link.

Cheers.

Many thanks,

Dig Pocket Jam!
It's very cool.
If you've ever used RB-338 (Rebirth v1, from propellerheads.se)
Pocketjam is a 2 mono synth + drums version of that program.
Fun for "doodling" ideas.
My only complaint is (for their 1st round that is...), I wish it had
a true reset to top of bar, function (hit the stop button twice in
pattern mode would be fine...SiliconMachines You Listening?

Also a track/module mute function. I hope they will up grade it soon!

still, Mucho Funo... and with a nice pair of headphones, it sounds
soooo clear and clean...

Tip: make sure every app (including switcher bar!!!) is off.
Makes a big difference! This is one cpu intensive app.
I also found it gets dirty after a while and it helps to reboot the app. (not the ppc just close & reopen the app.)

hope this helps

Yea I like PocketJam also. I dont know much about creating music. PocketJam is alot of fun to play with and I dont seem to grow bored of it. That propellerheads software looks hot but I dont think my weak laptop could push that. I cant wait for version 2 of PocketJam. Maybe we should write to them and let them know how we feel and post whatever feedback we receive from them here in this forum.

Sounds good to me... In fact I've tried to send them
email and several occations and it either didn't go thru
or they're ignoring me(?)

Please see if you can get thru...

Pocket jam is only about a month or so old, so
I'm sure v2 is down the road a ways, but a couple
of tiny upgrades like a rest to 1st bar etc... can't
be that hard. And a mute individual tracks has to be
easy...

Give it a try by all means, and I will try again too...

Any of you guys import stuff from Pocket Jam to REASON/REBIRTH/RYHTHM ???

I just started learning both programs, and would love to be able to import stuff I create on Pocket Jam into Reason.
