Well, I have it on home, but I'll move it. It just keeps grabbing the today screen, regardless of having Trivial Pursuit, or Yahtzee running. Pretty weird.
I've gotten dotPocket to work, at least with their trial version. It seems the dire warning for Axim owners has been removed, so perhaps it's safe now.
I would like to have a simple cap program like valk's, though, so I'm not tied to the cradle when I have to take them!

Raynne, it kicks me right out of Yahtzee when I try to take a screen cap, and if I'm in TP, it just grabs the today screen. I wish I knew why it worked for you.
Um... are you running 2003? I'm still on 2002.
I'm also giving up for the evening. Thanks a lot for the time, I hope to get a solution before next year!

No, I'm also running 2002. I went into buttons, assigned the Inbox button to Screen Capture, and when I am in Trivial Pursuit, I press the Inbox button and it captures the screen. This is really odd.

Hmmmm. I do exactly the same thing, and only grab the today screen. I've even killed my app switcher (Zap!) in case that was somehow mis-handling the window, but it made no difference.
I can't imagine there is anything else which would be fundamentally different in setups, then, which would cause mine to grab one window, and yours to grab another.

Do you have the screen capture installed to main memory? Where do you have Trivial Pursuit installed. This is SO wierd. What today plugins are you using? Could that cause a problem?

Well, I'm willing to try anything, and will give that a shot later. After that it's time for Voodoo Pal, and perhaps some chicken blood... I can't figure this out.
Did you use setup, or just copy the cab in, do you remember? I used setup, but there are an awful lot of cabs...maybe it picked the wrong one??

I tried loading it into main, with no luck. The version Valk sent me is 1.0, is that what you have? Dang... Perhaps I'll have to plunk down the $3 and see if there's something different somehow in the 'official' version.
If it weren't you, Raynne, I'd say someone was pulling my leg in this screen cap software actually working. :)

Oh, I won't have you do that, but thanks! Finally got The Man's brand-new X5, and loaded Valk into main...works just fine on 2003, too.
The current thinking here is I must have an older dll or something... At least I can now take the caps from his pda, or use dotPocket if I have to. It just torques me that I can't figure this out.
Thanks again for all the time, I owe you!

getPDAScreen has been updated. It runs on the PC, and so saves you a step of having to copy the caps over thru activesync, and now also gives you the option of saving the caps as bmps or jpgs, too.
The best addition for me (thanks, Jonas!) is the use of 'gapi', as an option. If you use this, you can grab caps of the sorts of games I've had trouble with in the past, such as all the Handmark ones (Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, etc.)
If you have used this in the past, be sure to delete the getscreen.exe from your pda's /windows directory. Then select "gapi" from the getPDAScreen window, and take the capture. It works like a charm.
