Blinking green = "You have a message or a notification"
Blinking orange = battery is charging

Blinking orange = battery is charging
Blinking on either color = Message/notification.
Solid orange is the charging state for the X5.

Start, Settings, Sounds & Notifications, Notifications (tab). Use the drop down menu to select the various 'events' and uncehck the "Flash light for" box for those you do not want to flash.
