Is it possible to download programs into the cf card instead of RAM? How do I transfer programs in ram to the cf card?

Yes, you can install them to the CF card. When Activesync asks if you want to install to the default location answer no. You can then select Main Memory, Built In Storage, CF or SD Storage. It's difficult to transfer from one location to another because the registry has entries everywhere to keep the program locations straight. I'd uninstall from RAM and reinstall to the CF card. You can get a registry editor and look for the entries, but that's a lot riskier. Backup, backup, backup before you try it.

I have a question (just received my Axim.) I have only loaded a couple of programs but when asked to install to the default location and I click no I do not see the 'CF or SD Storage' only Main Memory and Built-in Storage

Do you have a CF or SD card installed? If so, it should show up as an option. Look at the Settings>system>memory screen. The drop down box should show all types of memory you have. The base machine has Built-In and Main. The others only appear when the cards are inserted.
