Hopefully, SRS will turn it into a commercial product and make it available. It is certainly worth paying for.

True, but maybe he doesn't want to have the responsibility to release upgrades!:D

Peace,
Henk.

Anyone got the version 12 beta that doesn't expire?

Also, i have heard that when TP expires you can just change the date in your PPC and perform a soft start and it will pop up to correct the date and when you do it resets the TP restarts the TP count down to expire.

Close, but not quite. As I understand it, in order to get it to work after March 1, you need to set the date prior to March 1, install TodayPlus, activate it, and then set your date to the current date. (apparently it only checks once when initializing.

If you have to soft-reset, you need to FIRST, change the date back to something prior to March1, and then reset. When the system is fully booted again, set the date to the current date.

Someone wrote a tool that changes the date to before Mar1 and issues a soft-reset. If for some reason your PPC locks up and you have to do a soft-reset via depressing the hardware nub, then obviously the date doesn't get set before the reset...and you have to reinstall TodayPlus again.

It's interesting that someone discovered this, but it isn't a "solution" IMO. Not only is it cumbersome to use, it just isn't right to override a program's limitations...whether it be a timebomb, number of days trial, or a serial number.

(oh, the latest word is, version 12 expires too)

Why do I get a "bad" feeling about this way of working? Is it common with software developers to do that?
Is it me, or.......?

I do think SRS has to make up his mind now what to do, leave it as it is freeware, without him having oblications. Or make it commercial with having the oblication to issue updates.

Peace,
Henk.
