Great Free Astronomy Program
With the help of someone on a newsgroup, I found a great free astronomy programs. It even has tons of add-ons you can download. I have tried it out on the Axim for about 20 minutes, and it does work. It is called Taiyoukei Be sure to register (you don't have to pay anything) because he says it lets him know whether to continue development on the program, or to just leave it alone.

You are all quite welcome. This is the best astronomy program I have found, including the commercial ones. I am glad the programmer decided to allow us to have it for free. :D

I like Ephemeris 1.0
http://home.attbi.com/~jonsachs/#Ephemeris%201.0
It doesnt have all the bells and whistles that only Taiyoukei has, but it's only 246.3KB installed.
Perfect for someone like me with only a passing interest in
astronomy and wants a sun/moon compass.
Note: I edited the URL at 8:50PM EST on Feb-19-03 to reflect Jonathan Sachs' home.

Wow
I've been looking for something like this. Want to be able to use the GPS with it and plug into my telescope.
Thanks:D

Wow, that program is thick. Definitely lots going on there, I hope that i will be able to learn from it because I am dumbfounded at this point. I guess that I am not so astrologically inclined.

I'm not very astronomically inclined, either, but I am fascinated by it. I hope to save up for a telescope if I ever manage to get a paid internship.
