Battery Pack 2003 #1 ?? or other?

What's the word out there? Which Utility are Ax users out there finding to their liking? Functionality vs cost?

Is Battery Pack 2003 all that it's supposed to be?

Well its a give and take app, its the best in terms of looks for sure, its got a great system to tell you how much system memory, and storage and other media thats open or left, also there is a debate abotu how great the battery remainign time is, whether or not its accurate, I use two different batteries often, a regular and the extended one, both have the same battery remaining meter, and also it seems inconsistient at times.

But I guess its the best one out there now, however keep an eye on Wacky Pack:

Its got problems in its initial release but the next version is supposed to be better, I'll let everyone know once the next version comes out.

I have Battery Pack 2003 and I like the program. I agree that the battery meter may be suspect, but I can't say that for sure. In general, it's a pretty simple and well-thought out program.

I also bought Spb Pocket Plus, and I like that too. They are not identical products, but both have the ability to put shortcuts on the screen and have meters for measuring some PPC functions (ie, memory usage, battery status, etc.) I primarily use Pocket Plus for it's browser enhancement features, and Battery Pack for shortcuts on desktop and metering.

I was using Pocket Plus for closing applications with the "x" button, but just downloaded a freeware program called Magic Button which I really like. I no longer use the Switcher application, as this shows is more like an upside down Windows taskbar showing open applications along the top of the screen by the start menu button. I hope this helps some.

I have also just loaded the freeware Magic Button and like it. I will definately put off buying something for a while. Any one know about any freeware shortcut apps? I do miss the shortcut to the brightness control.

Launcher is freeware.
You always have a nifty brightness control in pressing the scroll toggle in and using the D-pad up/down.

Check this thread. http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...t=today+screen

It is pictures of people's today screens.

Many of them use some great free software or inexpensive ones.

They all provide links to finding them.

Don't forget to look in the Download section on the boards here.

I like Battery Pack 2003. I do agree that the battery meter just isn't right. I just got a 3400 battery. Put it in and it said I had less than 3 hours of time (yes, the battery was charged). But everything else is cool-especially the voice that tells you when your battery/memory is low. Jean Luc is awesome ;).
