Problem with Network Printer using HP Mobile Printing

I have been trying to configure the HP Mobile Printing for my Axim using a shared computer on my network. After following the install manual and then typing in the path to my printer I keep getting this messaage "A device with the name already exist on the network"
I never had this problem before with any other workstations on the network.
I did notice that when I choose network prnter it did not find the printer automaticaly. I am not sure if it has this functionality. I am using my wifi card and have no problems with internet access or e-mail.

i had this same problem basically what you need to do is change the name of your axim. I think the default name is Pocket_PC, change it to something else and do a soft reset and it will work.

Start > Settings > System TAB > About > Device ID ; once you are here change your DEVICE name to something else. should work !

I have been racking my brain and your solution worked. Thank you very much!
I Hate to ask but now that I have been able to do that I should be able to access my shared folders on the network.
When I type in the path to my find I am getting a logon default. I do not have the network setup with that.
Anyway wround this. I have one PC for just fun stuff that anyone on the network can access but the Axim can't.

I was frustrated with the same thing with a Canon BJC printer. There is a patch available for those that are interested

from what i know it supports only HP and some CANON, it might work with yours. No harm in trying!
