Does setting your browser on your PPC to look like IE5.5 allow for better javascript execution? I would assumen not and then I would ask if there is a VM for the PPC. I can not find one. Does anyone have any ideas? What I'm trying to do is access Domino web mail which uses Javascript.

Using the registry hack to make PIE report that it is IE 5.5 does nothing to increase its functionality. It simply "tricks" browser detection routines on most web sites into thinking you are running a newer browser version.

If more than one person at your company is going to be using mobile devices with your Domino server, I suggest looking into Domino Everyplace.

They are working toward excellent mobile device communication, adding new features into Domino Designer 6 to program specifically for mobile devices.

Otherwise, if you have designer, you can change your mail template to use HTML rather than Java.

Domino Web Mail uses Java and not JavaScript. iNotes mail uses JavaScript, DHTML, etc.

One other option is to get a Conduit for the Notes Client and just sync your mail.

I have posted about what products are available here - http://www.aximsite.com/forums/index.php?a...&hl=lotus+notes

Speaking of JavaScript, what version of JavaScript does PIE support?

Is it only the function back from IE 3?

I guess it really shouldn't be of too much concern if the person coding the JavaScript knows how to make it backward compatible.

Just was wondering if it followed any sort of standard.

The version of IE is supposed to support everything desktop IE 3.2 supported. However, I have seen some javascript routines that work in 3.2 that do not work in pocket IE. I don't know what, if any, standard Microsoft was targeting.
