an application/utility to Minimize built-in Keyboard while using External Keyboard??
I think I read a post a while back where someone mentioned a useful application/utility like this.
Where can I find this?
Thanks,
Dave

I'd be interested in this too... the thing just keeps popping up, and I have to keep tapping the screen to make it go away

There is one called Zenoboard or something like that. You select it as your input option, and it just does nothing, including not popping up when you are using ann external keyboard.

Or you could also d/l & compare PHM Ext. Keyboard PowerToy (part of PHM PPC Power Toys suite). It is an empty input panel you can use when you have an external keyboard connected (such as thumb, collapsible, foldable, wireless, ... keyboard) and do not want an input panel to take valuable screen estate.

I know this may seem really simplistic but if you don't feel like messing with a registry editor it may be an option. Ok here it is......just select the transcriber instead of the keyboard as your input choice! I have experienced the same thing with the built-in keyboard popping up and I have just resorted to choosing the transcriber when I am using an external keyboard. If it does pop-up it takes up a very minimal portion of the screen and is hardly noticeable. I know it seems like a pretty stupid solution but I have found it to be just fine in comparison to loading another application on my Axim.

If I have the keyboard selected as my input and I go to say Word it will only pop up once while connected to my keyboard. How many times is it popping up for you guys?

Most of the problem for me was when I was using IE explorer with the external keyboard. Each time I went to a site that required a log in or even a search function it would pop-up. I don't know if that is what the others are experiencing but that would be my guess.

I think the Transcriber is the simplist solution. I thought of this, and just checked and saw that lancie10 suggested this a few messages back. Great, Quick, Simple idea (sounds like a SW Eng idea to me).
