Does anyone know of a Freeware program that will store passwords for various logins that is also securly protected?

Something like http://www.bomasoft.com Bomasoft's PPC Password manager.

Cheers,

I have not seen any freeware, but I downloaded a free copy of virtual wallet from applian.com. The free version is same as regular version, except you cant change the password to lock it.I have not yet tried it, but you can actual store a scanned image of your credit cards, etc.

Has anyone tried this or other virtual wallet type programs?

I searched long and hard for a freebie but found none. I settled on one called flexwallet from Handango for $19.95 and I think it's great.

A simple solution is to use a password protected excel spreadsheet.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I did think about a spreadsheet as a last resort but wanted something a bit more elegant.
I'll give flexwallet a go but from the screenshots it doesn't look quite like the application I want.

Cheers,

HH.

Discount code is: 684F73. Got it from another thread. I just plugged it in tonight and it was a $5.98 savings, making total price for FlexWallet $13.97. I guess we missed an even bigger savings when people got it for $3.96!

Anyway, I'm just now trying to decide between eWallet and FlexWallet. I was leaning towards eWallet even though it was an extra $10, but I don't think I can pass this discount up.

Question

I have a question regarding these password storage apps. How can we be guaranteed that every time we sync the ppc, our passwords are not being sent to the developer over the internet?

you can know that the software doesn't try to connect to the Internet if you have a firewall installed (McAfee, Norton, ZAP etc.)
(and it doesn't :) )
