Question Icons in Calendar "Options"

There are several icons available for activation within the Calendar app, like "reminder" (bell), "location" (house), etc. They automatically appear alongside the appointment if the catagory item was used in setting up the appointment.

There are 2 that I can't figure out, though. I assume the 2 faces has something to do with "Contacts" and the Key is some sort of security feature, but how do you use them? Is my assumption about those 2 symbols correct? If so, how do I take advantage of whatever function uses them?

Is there a way to link the appointment to a contact?

I haven't looked at it yet, but could the key be one that is marked as private?

Yup...that's it. Marking it "Private" brings it up, although there doesn't seem to be any security function called up.

I just found the "faces" icon comes up if you list "attendee's"

Well, marking something as private only effects if you are in a corporate setting using Exchange or Lotus Domino.

I know if you mark something as Private in Domino and if you set it up so that other people can view your calendar, they will not see it. I think the same is true of Exchange.

So for the home user, marking it Private does nothing.

This also works if you are "sharing" your calander using NetFolders in Outlook 2000 and 2002. This is how we do it in our small office (only 3 professionals) so we couldn't justify the cost of Exchange. I mark all my personal information private so that it doesn't get transmitted to all of the other people in our office.
