whoa...me too....I just loaded up the trial version of Battery Pack....at full charge it reads 5h 13 mins remaining...(which is good)...BUT THEN WHEN I DISCONNECT THE POWER CORD, MY BATTERY PERCENTAGE DROPS STEADILY AT THE SAME SPEED THAT IT CHARGED AT.....(RIGHT NOW IT'S BEEN ABOUT 3 MINS AND IT'S GONE FROM 100% DOWN TO 83 WITH A REMAINING TIME OF 3h 19 mins....now it's slowed a bit, but over the next 5 mins, it dropped to 79%..3h 4mins remaining....what's going on?

what should we do about this nonsence?

You should see NO change in only three minutes!

My unit shows 4 hr 32 min elapsed time and is at 67%.

Damn...ran it down under 50% today, charged it back up to 100% and it's reading 2h 42m again.

I'll give it one more try :rolling:

coocoovoodoo - how'd you do?

You'll get more use from the elapsed time indicator, that lets you know how long you've been up, and you ... the expert operator ... can confidently judge what's left based on current percentage.

Whatever method they use to estimate hours remaining is just not realistic.

I decided to let my battery run down again since I havent' done it since loading my bought version of batterypack. I had the Axim in the cradle at work and pulled the AC plug from the cradle to let it drain. Well, it drained down to about 50% in about 4 hours without much use of the Axim. A bit odd. At the same time the elapsed time showed like 14 hours and whatever minutes. It was completely off. I then charged it back up and had a remaining time of around 5 hours. That's more reasonable than the 2h 42m. It was time to go home so I took the Ax out of the cradle and put it in the case. Just a little bit ago i decided to turn it on to see what it was reading and the elapsed time was just a few minutes and the remaining was still like 5 hours. Good so far. Well, I am currently using the trial version of Pocket Facelift and every 15 or so minutes it screws up the background. To reset it I open up the settings for Facelift and close and it brings the background back to normal. This is just an annoying thing they put in the trial version from what I understand. Anyway, when I did this just now the screen reset and now the battery meter is reading just under 4 hours remaining but 5 hours elapsed at 100%. It jumped from under 1 hour elapsed to 5 hours elapsed just by me resetting Facelift. It looks like i'm having an issue with the trial version of Facelift. I will have to remove it from my Axim to see if this corrects the BatteryPack issue. If so i'll have to consider getting the full version of Facelift or not. I really like Facelift so I hope it's not the problem.

I figured I would post a follow up to my post yesterday just for the hell of it.

I removed the PocketFacelift trial version from my Axim last night. Today I decided to try and run the battery down the same way I did yesterday so unplugged the AC from the cradle and put the Axim in it. I let it go for six hours with minimal use and here are the numbers I got:

Elapsed time (Remaining time) [% of battery left]
0 (3h 52m) [100%]
1 (3h 45m) [ 98%]
2 (3h 42m) [ 88%]
3 (3h 25m) [ 80%]
4 (3h 18m) [ 72%]
5 (2h 50m) [ 61%]
6 (2h 34m) [ 54%]

I just now put it back in the charger after 6h 22m elapsed time with 2h 30m remaining at 53%. About a half hour later it's fully charged and shows 5h 13m remaining. Since I have removed the trial Pocket Facelift my BatteryPack bar seems to be working corrrectly again. I don't know if that was caused by just the trial version alone but I am now affraid to purchase the full version of Facelift because of this.
