Applications

I use my Axim for a wide variety of tasks. The most useful and best investment I have made has been the Super Incrediable Bundle from Applian.

Super explorer (file explorer)
theme dream ( theme management)
Picture Viewer
Cool Calc
Pocket Lock

Just these 5 are worth the $39.99, plus there are 11 more programs in the bunch.

Pocket Informant
Personal Vehicle Manager
WisBar (free)
Flex Wallet
Backgammon (free)

I'd have to say Backgammon is most useful, it keeps me sane.

My five would be:

Pocket Informant for all calendar, contacts, notes, and tasks
http://www.pocketinformant.com

Gigabar can launch everything and close anything from any screen
http://www.gigabar.com

Mad Journal for daily journal type notes. Opens to current day.
not sure if it is still available but you may try
http://www.pocketgear.com

Flex Wallet for all the money, passwords, and other sensitive records I need on my Ax. The bundle with the desktop edition and the Pocket PC edition is a great set that covers it all for me.

Bug Me for all the immediate things that come up that made paper so hard to get rid of . . . With rich text, colors, and a good interface, it is the fastest way to take notes quickly and set alarms easily in a colorful and even artistic way. Its almost like a "MS Paint" program for PPC.

Of course I couldn't do without
Lexicon (the game)
Resco Word Game (like Scrabble)
TranCreative Wordbook (dictionary)
SpaceMaker (to recover space on my PPC)
Field's Software Print Pocket CE (for printing)
Strickland's Pocket Candy (screen savers for PPC)
try the trial versions to decide what you really will use

Well, haven't had my axim very long now but the programs I'm using right now and actually like are:

ICBar - Skin the task bars

WinCE Playlist - A Jukebox add-on of sorts for any mp3 player!!

eWallet - This allows you to make virtual cards and I think that beats the other wallets anyday.

Resco Picture - The one that came with the Axim, I can't justify the extra money to upgrade though, I'd love to be able to make the albums on my PC.

Pocket Nester - For gaming. My favorite NES games are Zelda, Mario 2 and 3, TMNT 2, Adventure Island 2, and Megaman 3, but any megaman is good.
