I have been an Axim owner for just over a week, but have spent most of that time playing with it, customizing it and downloading freeware/shareware for it...

Mine are:
TDLaunch - Great little program that adds program icons to your today screen
Wisbar - Improves the top bar greatly, especially in regards to switching between and closing active programs
PocketSysWatch - Neat little resource monitor that lives in your sys tray
Tasks+ - Lists individual tasks on your today screen
WinamPAQ - Winamp look alike mp3 player (even takes winamp skins)

hey folks...any one know if gigabar and pocket plus will work together? i see they have a few of the same functions...also what about wisbar and pocket plus??
and does anyone know of a free program like color tweak was for old win ce that could change the colors of active tital bar or text color or scroll bar and such??..not this $#!+ where it says its free..then u download it and find out u only get it for 7 or 15 days...

Snoopsoft ColorMe... it doesn't work to good, because it was designed for the old CE for Handhelds, but it does the trick and is for free :-)

Yeah... Microsoft Theme Designer. It is free from the microsoft site. You can also add background pictures, etc.
