Hmm Dell backup/restore utility

Is there anyone who used the Dell backup utility to restore data after a hard reset.

Was it succesfull?

I'm planning to make a far away trip so I have not the possibilty to use active sync out there.

Because my data is very important (navigation soft) I can not have the risk to lose everything.

So what i want is to make a backup on my storage card and in case of a hard reset, restore everything back.

Some people advised me to use Sprite Backup, but is this really necessary if the build in Dell backup utility can do the job also.

The advantage of the build-in backup/restore is that it is always available when you need it.

Thanks for your reply....

Benny

I have used this utility both successfully and unseccessfully. When it was unsuccessful, it would start to restore, but then after it reached a certain percentage (e.g., 95%), I would get an error message. Since I had my PC, this was not the end of the world, but if you are away for so long and need your programs and data, I'd recommend a reliable alternative such as Sprite.
