Hello Dinar -

Wanted to give you some feedback on MemMaid. I use SKTools, Pocket Mechanic, and I purchased MemMaid yesterday, and I'm glad I did. Just installed 1.1 this morning, and the enhancements are great. One addition that would make the app even better would be an "Uninstall Programs" module.

I call MM a "Mom" app, meaning it passes the "Could your mom use it? test for ease of use. The interface is simply stellar for any level of user, and it does a great job of cleaning. The addition of the Terminate Process was necessary, and the reg tweaks are perfect. I will continue to use PM and SKTools for other tasks, but I would definitely reccomend MM to anyone looking for a basic set of PPC system utilities!!!

Also, do you have a website and/or a forum? I'm just curious.

may be a stupid question, but how can I get an unlock code for memmaid. Do I have to re-download the software??? seems like I should just be able to enter the unlock key after purchase, since that is what I am being asked for. I can't find a link to any site other than download a trial or purchase. I already have the trial and need the unlock key. I guess my question is how do I purchase an "unlock key"

You don't have to redownload the software to get an unlock key. You can just purchase it. You will be given the option to download, just don't :). Hope that helps.

Here's the best way to get your key, given that you did purchase it. It should have been in the confirmation email that you received from Handango. If you've misplaced or deleted your confirmation email, you can retrieve it by logging into your handango account. Once logged in, do the following:

1. Under the My Handango GoPass heading, click view, then click purchase history
2. Find the entry for MemMaid, then highlight the order reference #, and copy it to the clipboard.
3. Next, click redownload files @ the top of the screen, enter your email address, and then paste the order reference number into the field below it and click the submit button. This should reveal the code that was issued @ the time of purchase.

I seem to have some persistant IE cache and history files I can't clean. Any ideas how to free these up? I also tried with SKtools. Thanks.

Those files are index.dat(s)
If you switch to MemMaid's advanced cleaner (tap on the arrow beside the word "QuickCleaner") and do a scan. This will confirm it.
Those files are used all the time by the system (in WM2003) and that's why we can't delete (no one figured out how to delete them yet).

If you are getting a warning in MemMaid about them, you can disable this warnning from the QuickCleaner option to-right hand side icons (the one in the middle).

The price was suppose to be increased to 11.99$ this morning, but because of your comment, we'll keep it at 9.99$ for one or two more days. :)

I've got a trial version (v1.3). So far the product has been great, but one question...there is a number '6' displayed beside Quick Cleaner, not an arrow. I assume that this is a bug?
