Exclamation Pocket Quicken - an Update!!

That's right, Pocket Quicken is no longer a pipe dream, as many have thought.

I got an email from LandWare (the company officially licensed to produce Quicken for the PPC) and they had this to say:

Yea I got that too. I've been watching that site for over a month now and they really haven't had any updates. I almost didn't move to Pocket PC because of the lack of Pocket Quicken. Heck, even my Apple Newton had it!

I just signed up to be a public beta tester. I just downloaded the latest release of the beta (version 4). It looks REALLY NICE. Even nicer than the screen-shots, as it makes more sense with your own data on the screen.

If anyone is interested in signing up as a beta tester, here's a link to sign up. I am not a programmer or developer, but rather a guy who just loves playing with technology. I didn't know if they'd want me to test it, but I guess I'm a pretty good example of their typical potential customer--since that's what I am.

I'll let you know how it works once I've used it for a while.

I signed up a few days ago. I just received the email with password and download link this morning. From the little bit I've played with it, it looks like a real winner. The only negative I've found, and it's just a generic problem with the program, is that you really can't work with two separate files. For example, I use Quicken Home & Business 2002 on my desktop. I have a sepate file with a number of accounts for my business needs, and I have a separate file with a number of accounts with my home/personal needs. I wanted to be able to use both and keep them separate, as I do on the desktop. With the program, you really can't do that. You need to pick one file or the other to use. Not a really big problem. I'll probably keep my home file on the Axim. But, I was hoping I could use both.

Question

Ok let me get this straight. I have to pay $50 for the desktop version plus and additional $30 for the PPC version? Can I get a demo of both the PC and PPC versions? The desktop version of MS Money works for me just fine but I do not know about the PPC version yet. I will be trying that out this weekend, but the PPC version of Money is also free.
