I just downloaded Total Commander for my Axim having used it on my PC. Found that on a file transfer of about 8mb from one folder to another it froze on me ....

Does anyone else use TC and what is your experience with them ??

Are there other better file managment applications?

I can't complain, anything it did smoothly so far. Haven't seen anything else with that lot of features for free.

I've moved several hundred MB MP3 over cards without a problem.

Anything active in background? ActSync can be sometimes a PITA if you're going large real time operations. I'm used to pull the plug now, when doing searches over large database or similar

I've used Total Commander since about Day 3 of owning my Axim (almost 3 months) and had it crash 1, maybe two times. Other than that, never had a problem.

Another file manager is -- Resco File Explorer -- gets high praise from many and costs 20 bucks.
