Has any one had any problems with MS Theme Generator v2???

I've installed it on my work PC running win 2k, and during install it says an error has occured and something in the setup didn't work/register properly, but MSTG works perfectly.

BUT when i installed it on my home pc runnin win98se the install goes through with NO errors, but MSTG won't run, it comes up with the following errors:
1: C:\.....\skinapp.exe A device attached to the system is not functioning.
2: Error Strating Program. The SKINAPP.EXE file is linked to missing export SHELL32.DLL:SHGetFolderPathA.

Any ideas what could be happening???????

Sorry that I don't have the answer to your question, but I can confirm the same exact problem on my Win 98se machine. Theme generator installed without errors, but has those messages when you try to run it.

I think its XP only but dont quote me, all i can say is that i have it instaleld on XP and it works great :) not a problem

'This download is intended for use on English Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.'

So..... it's just one of the many MS windows glitches then. Ahh well looks as though it's do the theme in work, and send them home.

Maybe they'll do a service pack for it :p

I'm also using Win98 and experience the same error messages. Hope M$ develops a patch; looks like a promising program.

I'm also using ThemeMakerLite, which works pretty well. One question, does anyone know how to change the text in the menu section using this program?

For the record, I'm having the same problem. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted etc.

(My system is Win 98 and my PDA is hooked up)

When I try to run the program:
- Grey dialog box pops up with a red circle containing a white "X" and the blurb:

C:\Program Files\Theme Generator\SkinApp.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning

Another dialog box is beneath the first box. It has a hellow triangle with an explamation point and says:

The SKINAPP.EXE file is linked to missing export SHELL32.DLL:SHGetFolderPathA.


Yep. Any OTHER FREE programs that I can use to transform digital pics onto my PDA Today Screen? I've lost hope with Theme Gen.
