if you are talking about closing programs by tapping the ''X" there are several: Icbar, Wisbar and Gigabar are probably the most used.

Omega One has Battery Pack or Battery Pack Pro. It works well on everything except wm2003se (i.e. x30). It has a few features that SPB does not have.

I really like BP Pro. I've become so accustomed to it, I don't think I'll switch.

wooch06 -
But you have an x3i. It's thoroughly stable on the x3i. Wish it were so on the x30.

You are correct, and I understand that both SPB plus and BPP are having issues with the X30, WM SE 2003. It comes down to going with what you like, bearing in mind that they will work the bugs out soon. Are you aware that they released BP Pro 1.1.1 the other day? You might want to give it a shot, it indicated that there were more SE fixes in this release.

Nonetheless, I do feel for the X30 users regarding all the issues there have been with BPP and SPB. They will both get their apps up to par . . .

Thanks, running on 1.1. Will load 1.1.1 and see if this fixes the slowdowns and no Today screen until after a couple of resets. SPB last week updated most if not all their apps for wm2003se.

Yeah, but alot of comapnies have said they modified their apps for SE a while back. It's just going to take some time for them to get the bugs out.

Unfortunately BPP 1.1.1 is worst on the x30 than 1.1.0. Don't notice any changes on x3i or x5. When I click the red setting round thing it locks the x30 up requiring a soft reset. Make that 3 or 4 resets as it stops most of the time only displaying the top Start bar and nothing else. There's something different in the wm2003se bootup and Today screen. I need to email OO support on this. They probably only tested it on the Toshiba wm2003se.

I'm going to look over there and then put 1.1.0 back on. I turned it back on from power off (suspend) and it did not displayed Program bar, did display Battery bar and Journal bar though. It only took 6 resets, waiting 45 seconds afterward, to revive. With Journal bar being down for 5 days about 3 weeks ago and OO not even announcing that status on their website and these problems with BPP, l'm not enjoying this. They are fortunate as there are not that many wm2003se machines out there.

yea i found one on snoop soft... ill attach an image of what it looks like...

it is called BananaPC and i have had no problems with it. it doesnt remove the origional X.. but its really not a big deal, you can adjust the position of the bar, orient it vertical or horizontal, and resize it.

link to snoopsoft here...

Link!

so other than that... i dont need help with an alternative...

I use BP free version and diable everything except the battery icon in title bar and the X in top right corner to close or manager programs.

I hope that I misunderstood and it isn't going to stop working when my X30 shows up =(
