If this info helps, I can now transfer a file from the axim to the comp but I still can't use my axim to go into the comp's folders, copy a file, and paste onto my axim...
I'm not sure what, but I have the feeling you are leaving out info.
However, if .exe is the only file type you are having problems with you can try changing the extension to .jpg or something, and then changing it once you get it to your axim (this is how I get past a block on my FTP host, I just change the extenstion till I need to run it, then I download it and change it back.
You could also try zipping the file and sending it over, and then unzipping it. However... exe files that run in windows will most likely not run on your axim.
I have several .exe files that I have tried to run on my desktop (like VNC Viewer) and it tells me it is not a valie win32 program. I most it to axim and it runs fine. I assume the opposite would be true.
Thanks for the reply...the .exe I've been trying to move is the free ftxPBrowser...obviously it is written for the axim but I happened to find it while browsing on my comp...you would think you should be able to transfer an .exe that is meant for the axim to/from it...strange...
Yeah, it isn't an install file, it is the actual program you run on the Axim so you just move it there. Best bet is to use the Axim to download it directly from the host site, or use active sync explorer to move it over?
I have tried using Resco Explorer and the Windows Explorer and I can't move an .exe from my comp to my axim while using my axim (did that make sense?)...I can move an .exe from the axim to the comp though...when I try to move from comp to axim I get an "access denied" error with Resco and "Can't move: file may be in use blah blah" in the Windows Mobile Explorer...I know the file is not in use b/c it's the file ftxPBrowser.exe - I can move it from the axim to comp though...any other file types is no problem...any ideas?
No...it's an .exe I d/l'd off of the net to my comp and I want to transfer it to my axim...none of the .exe's I have on my comp work when trying to transfer them...
